If you purchased the computer from us, our tech is available Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:00am to 5:00pm on a first-come, first-served basis.

We do not repair or service any systems in our retail locations. All repair services are performed at our Layton service location only.

Repair Policy

10 Minutes


Free 10 minutes of diagnostic time; this is often enough time for our technician to diagnose most simple issues.

30 Minutes


30 minutes of additional diagnostic time. This may be required to investigate more advanced issues.

1 Hour


1 hour of additional diagnostic time, stackable up to 10 hours. This should only be required for the most advanced and complex computer issues.

Repair Details & Information

Repair completion time frame from when the computer is dropped off, and once all the necessary parts have arrived at our shop, is one week (7 days) unless otherwise specified by the technician.

We do not have the proper technology to do repairs on bad or dead HDD’s.

Unfortunately, dead HDD repair is very complicated, and we recommend you consult a specialist if you need to retrieve data from a damaged or dead HDD.

No hinge repairs will be done on laptops.

When one or both of the hinges break in a laptop, there is little chance we will be able to repair the laptop in a manner that will last a decent amount of time. Unfortunately once a hinge breaks, there is very little that can be done.

No repair will be done that will cost more than the value of the computer.

We will not do any repairs that cost more the computer you want repaired. In general, computers these days are designed to be disposable, making hardware repairs more difficult and costly. For example, the cost of a laptop motherboard, and the time for the technician to test and install the board, will almost certainly cost more than purchasing the same laptop computer again.
